About the Artist

Marylène was exposed to art from an early age. Her mother, an oil paint artist herself, studied art as a young woman in the 1940s, painting lanscapes, and at the time, provocative portraits. Marylène started to paint very young, and continue to work on her craft in private, allowing only a few people a glimpse of her work. Self tought, she perfected her craft by watching her mother and study other artists such as Pablo Picasso, Van Gogh, Jackson Pollock, Lùcio Fontana, Giorgio Morandi and her idol Gerhard Richter among many others. Urged by friends and family alike, she agreed to show her work and share her gift of expression with the world. Infused with light, color and texture, Marylène's pieces are unique and versatile. Life is infused with every stroke of her brush to inspire thought at every glance.
